Mathematical Models in Social Psychology
Publisher SummaryThis chapter discusses the nature and role of mathematical models in social psychology. Mathematical models are used in the physical sciences as a technique for forming abstractions from reality, manipulating the abstractions, and applying the results back to reality to encompass other consequences.
